1 day AF while BFing? (tmi)

I have been breastfeeding DD since day 1, and for being 10mo. old, she still nurses ALOT. Def prefers it over anything else.

Monday night, there was a small, SMALL amount of spotting when I went to the bathroom. I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking. Yesterday around noon, I started bleeding. Not alot, but I used a pad, so I could "guage" how heavy my flow was. I was expecting a heavy flow, since it was first AF after having DD. My bleeding was pretty light, and only lasted about 6 hours. After that, every time I went to the bathroom, It was brown, like old blood.

What the heck is going on!? I have considered the idea that I might be pregnant again, and "spotting" but I don't know how heavy spotting can be. Maybe my hormones are really just that messed up? Or maybe I'm just worrying over nothing?

    Not sure if I am any help, but last week I had spotting for a few days when I wiped.  It was bright red, but never anything transferred to a panty liner, and ended up going away after 2 or 3 days.  Not sure if it was my body trying to have AF or not.

    Let me know the responses you get...I posted earlier about this same thing!  DD is 6 mo old.  Hmmmm probably some crazy hormones.  I don't think I'm pregnant, but "spotting" while you're pg can be like a period.  I spotted a LOT while pg with dd.

    Hmmm. Well, I really don't think I'm pregnant either, but we haven't been using protection. I posted this on another board as well, and a lady said the same thing happened to her, and AF came a few weeks later, so she thinks the bleeding was from ovulating.

    to the previous poster- yeah, mine was bright red too...and just enough to get on my pantyliner, but def not alot!

    That happened to me, about 4 hours of light red spotting that I THOUGHT was going to be a PPP but wasn't really, think it was gearing up though, got a real one a month later.  GL and if no protection it never hurts to test.
    5/08- blighted ovum, spont ab; 2/20/09- epi, VAVD, Girl! breastfed 24mo; 10/10- blighted ovum, spon ab; 12/10- no fetal pole, Cytotec; 11/20/11- unmedicated SVD, Girl! breastfed 18mo; 11/7/13- unmedicated SVD, breastfed 18mo; 2/11/16- unmedicated SVD, exclusively pumping to at least a year.
