I have heard of this before - All Purpose Nipple Ointment.  Where do you get this?

    This will sound silly - but your OB knew what it was?  I read somewhere on the internet what the ingredients were and it seems like such a "specialty" thing.  I am just wondering if I say APNO to my OB will he know what I am talking about or will I have to tell him what's in it.

    My LC got my OB to write a prescription, then it took me a few phone calls to pharmacies to find one that knew how to make it.

    Nope!  APNO has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial medication in it as well as a steroid to help the healing.

    APNO didn't help me at all... Lanolin gave me more relief.  Plus, I had to get the APNO at a compounding place, not a regular pharmacy and it cost me $50 because it's a "compound" which my insurance didn't cover completely.
