Poison Ivy on boobs...how to restart BFing?

I have a very, very bad case of poison ivy all over my face, neck, and chest. It covers my left breast and the top part of my right breast. My doctor advised me to hold off on BFing until it clears up (because of a risk of secondary infection) so I've been pumping and giving her a bottle. I just wondered if anyone has any tips on how to pick back up where we left off once the rash clears? TIA!

    You may just be able to put her right back to the breast. If she has gotten too used to the bottle, try using a shield. That is how I had to start.

    Agreed.  I used a nipple sheild after 6 weeks of EPing and giving a bottle.  With the sheild DS took to the breast with no problem what-so-ever.  Good luck.
