Would you buzz cut a 1 year old?

Hayden has TONS of hair. He has had 4 hair trims and it actually needs to be cut because it is so thick and getting so long. DH wants to get him a buzz cut. I think that 13 months is too young to buzz cut his hair. WDYT??

If it fits his personality do it! Charlie has gotten haircuts every 4 weeks since he was 11 months old! It gets old!!!!!!

I might think differently if I actually had a kid with hair

, but I agree with SeaSoul...it usually makes them look more like a boy and less like a baby!

I think summer is a good time for buzz cuts and I don't think he is too young. I figure if you don't like it, it will grow back.

I've given Eli 4 buzzes already! He has the craziest hair if it gets too long so he's been "military" since about 8 months!

It's adorable on him. I also cut Ben's pretty close when I did it about a month ago.

my neighbor has little boy about 9-10 months old and he has a buzz cut and looks adorable. It also looks nice and cool for the summer.

I didn't get DS's hair buzzed until this spring. I wish I had done it last year, it looks adorable, easier to get the sand, dirt, food out of and it is not tickling him or hanging in his eyes.

Last summer Owen had a mohawlk. Then right before we got his helmet both boys got buzzed. I think it is cute.

My nephews have both gotten buzz cuts from the time they needed their first trims. Nephew #1 has ridiculously thick, curly hair and it just makes sense to keep it super short so it isn't out of control. Now his brother, on the other hand, has the complete opposite problem. He has super fine, stick straight hair and when they tried to keep his a little longer it did nothing but fly away.

My BIL cuts both of their hair, so I think that buzz is also a lot easier to maintain at home.

While it isn't my personal favorite "style" for a little boy, I can see that it might be nice in the summer when they get so hot and sweaty. Poor Megan comes in just dripping with sweat after we've been on a bike ride with her helmet and sometimes if she's in her car seat for a long time.

If Megan was a boy, she would have also had to have quite a few hair cuts already!

Its NMS but I think it is fine for a 1yr old. My only issue is that it might make him look older and that is the last thing I want.
