where should I put the potty?

We have a two story home with one bathroom which is on the second floor. DS can not easily climb the stairs so when I started pting, I would help him walk up the stairs to the bathroom to the toilet every hour or so. I don't think that that method is going to work - especially when he is needing to make that trek on his own. Should I put a potty in the living room at the base of the stairs (corner of the room), the kitchen, or the dining room? Thanks for the input! When I asked my mom for her thoughts - she suggested that we move!

    I would say have it on the 1st floor for you.  Maybe set up a corner of one of the rooms as the potty spot.  Have the chair along with the sticker chart and any rewards.  I would say alwayshave it in the same spot so your child knows where to run to when need be.

    we have the same problem. she cant get upstairs because of the baby gates so we put a potty chair in the area between the living room and kitchen. she also has a potty seat upstairs in the bathroom.

    We have lots of kid potty's all over the house.  One downstairs in the family room, one upstairs in DD's room and sometimes our room, and potty rings for big toilets.

    We kept ours in the bathroom. I would help DD up the stairs or thru baby gates. She now goes herself. Calls me when she is done.
