Babies: 0 - 3 Months

BF moms...what do you snack on?

i am ALWAYS hungry because i am EBFing and staying active, so my metabolism is in overdrive...do any of you have suggestions for quick, healthy snacks to eat throughout the day...like the rest of you, i don't have a whole lot of time to prepare good food for myself :)...i'm also trying to go off dairy to see if it helps with LO's gas issues...Thanks for any suggestions you have!!

  • I snack on nuts, granola bars, graham crackers, fruit (strawberries, grapes, peaches), and toast with peanut butter.  I'm not avoiding dairy, so I also do cheese, yogurt etc.

    I second this though...I feel like I can hardly scarf down a meal, let alone eat anything between!

  • I love granola bars - especially the "Chewy" brand. I also eat a lot of fresh fruit but the granola bars are easier to throw in your purse!

  • I love yogurt, fresh fruit, carrot sticks, occasional piece of toastwith nutella or pb, cheese sticks... I snack alot! lol

    Hey!  I snack on almond, rasins, yogurt, strawberries, melon, and definitely some dark chocolate- it's my weaknes...I found a great "trail" mix at my grocery store in the health food section...it's in the bulk bins and has, rasins, peanuts, almonds dark chocolate wafers, chocolate chips, PB Chips, etc!  If you like all of those ingredients you should definitely see if your store has it...obviously I don't eat copius amounts of it, but it is a great "healthier" way to induldge :)

    I have a question for you....my little guy is super gassy and I never really thought twice about it being due to dairy products...can you tell me why you think that?  Maybe I need to be adjusting my diet as well :)

    I'm just looked it up on Kellymom.com and found the info there :)  Guess before I post I should do a little leg work myself!  Thanks for getting my brain going in that direction though!

    I snack on FiberOne bars and bananas mostly.  And sometimes chocolate if we have any in the house.
