NBR: my dogs sleep allllllll day!

What a life!  They sleep all day, wake up to eat, play, poop, snuggle, and then go back to sleep.  They are so spoiled!  I think they're going to be in for a big shock soon, lol.

Re: NBR: my dogs sleep allllllll day!

  • My dogs are the same way. One of them is a big time snuggler so we will see how things go once the baby gets here!

  • Loading the player...
  • My dog has always done super with the kids but lately we haven't had much time for her and she is obviously very depressed. It breaks my heart!
  • LOL. Chewy and Elmo sleep all day, too. They're little rascals. If only they knew how easy they had it.

Gizzy and Eva are going to be in for a rude awakening when Elise gets here!!!

  • It's sad but the dogs do get shoved aside once the baby arrives. I know you're swearing it won't happen, but trust me- it will. Esme & Mischa (my yorkies) were my babies before Nadia & now I sometimes don't even look at them all day :-/ I'm relieved they aren't "only dogs" & atleast have each other for company.
  • That was part of the reason for getting Eva about a year ago, so she could keep Gizmo company.  However, in classic little sister fashion, she spends all day bugging him.  For a while there, he would give me a look that I knew he was trying to tell me, "When can we take her back to her home?"  lol. They do play together a lot and love to groom each other so that makes me happy that they have each other.

I never thought Chewy would like having another dog in the house, but since my parents are staying with us while their house is being repaired, he has taken to Elmo (my mom's dog) like you wouldn't believe! At first, he would give me the same look Gizmo would give you - Elmo would bite on his ears and jump around to get him to play and Chewy would look at me like "Can you please make him stop?!" Now they're inseparable. They cry for each other when they're in separate rooms. I told my mom that when she goes back to her house we are going to have to treat them like kids from a divorced home and shuttle them from house to house like we have joint custody.

We think that when we do have kids, at first we might let Chewy stay with my mom for a while so that he won't feel neglected. Like you know, Chewy is my little baby and it would kill me for him to feel lonely. At least at my mom's I know he would be doted on all the time and he would have Elmo to play with. With your dogs, at least they have each other :)

  • LOL, they sound so cute!  That's exactly what Eva does, run circles around Gizzy and bite his ears.  Tha'ts a good idea to have your mom watch him for a little while so he can get some extra attention.
