F/U: Back from the Urologist

I just got back from seeing the specialist and I have been diagnosed with Vesicoureteral Reflux. This basically means that I have reflux of my urinary tract infection. Instead of everything draining properly when I go to the bathroom, some if the urine retreats back up to my urinary tract. (Sorry if that was TMI)

Tomorrow I have to make an appt to have a procedure down to see how severe the reflux is. I will have to have a catheter inserted and dye injected into my bladder to see how the urine flows.

Hopefully it isn't to severe. After the procedure we will discuss the next steps we need to take.

Interesting...I never knew that could happen. Hopefully the procedure tomorrow won't be too invasive and you'll have a quick and easy treatment plan.

Interesting finding. Hopefully the test will give you an answer (or head you down the path to one) to make it where the UTIs decrease. good luck!
