buying tickets for kids

how do they know how old your kid is?  i'm not saying i'm gonna lie and say jax is under 2 for the disney on ice thing, but how do they know? 

after taking him to the circus in Feb, it will be nice for him to have his own seat. so we are gonna buy him one either way.

    That is a good question.  I bought 3 tickets:  one for dh, one for Ethan, and one for me.  As for Jack, well, he'll be 23 months old.  I'm still not sure if we are taking him or leaving him with my mom, but if we do, he'll definitely be sitting in our lap.  I just couldn't see paying $50 for a ticket for him.
