1. Prepare to stop often if it's longer than a 2 hr drive
2. Hopefully the baby can sleep in a room that they can't see you in. DD could see us through her pack n play and wouldn't sleep! We finally had to bring her in bed with us.
3. If you do activities try to do it in the mornings and early afternoon. DD was so done by 6:30 and we had to stay in the rest of the night. So we made sure to do as much as we could in the beginning of the day so we didn't feel trap at the end of the day.
I haven't gone anywhere overnight with my sweet girl but when we do go we plan on using our pack and play. We are going to do a trial run with the pack and play at home because I want her to get used to sleeping in there so when we go she doesn't freak out because she is not in her crib.
Re: need advise for a long getaway!
We took my DD on a trip when she was 3 months.
My tips are:
Have fun!
