Baby on Board....
What is your opinion on the "Baby on Board" signs in car windows. I have one that I got at our baby shower, but have not put it up in my car. Severally of my friends make fun of them.
Are they cheesy? Or is it wise so that 1) Other people are more aware of how they are driving around a car that has an infant in it 2) In case of an accident, emergency crew is aware to be searching for a baby 3) People don't give the stink eye while driving in the HOV lane with no one in the front passenger seat.

We don't have a Baby on Board sign, but we have something similar. Our hospital gives WHALE stickers. These stand for "We Have a Little Emergency." It has space to fill in parents names, regular doctors, known allergies, birthdate, etc. This triggers authorities to look for a baby if we were ever in some sort of accident where the parents were not conscious. I personally think it's very smart. You just never know.
ETA: These don't go in the window, though, for obvious reasons. They recommened to put them on the car seat base or seat back.
They seemed really popular in the early 90's and now they seem to be back!
They make me laugh.....because in order to see that sign, you can't have tinted windows...and if you don't have tinted windows, it's usually pretty clear to see a baby inside the car....
Personally I think it's pointless.....
Meh...I think they are right up there with the Honor Roll stickers. It's like jeez I was thinking about running you off the road but since you have a baby on board then I guess I'll leave you alone.
I'd really like one that says
"There's a baby in my car and if you ride my @ss, cut me off, or hit me, I'm going to have to get out of my car a choke a b*tch. Yeah, I'm crazy like that."
We have the same one. Its in the back window cos I think its uber cute!

I usually make fun of them. Its like hey if I decide to get in an accident I'll make sure its not with you. Yet an accident is just that, not intentional. I rarely think someone intentionally hits another car.
People who drive like idiots are gonna do so regardless of a sign.
With that being said. I'm putting one in the window of my car. You can't see it very well because I have tint. But I have a sports car and people try and race me all the time so I'm hoping the sign will make people less likely to try and race. If I had a normal car, that didn't scream lets race, I wouldn't put the sign up.
