We ended up using the Dr. Brown bottles and I will replace the nipples and the yellow, rubber stopper thingy, but the bottles themselves and plastic vent seem fine to use again. I'm just trying to figure out how to pack them away.
What did you do?
Thanks!
Re: How did you pack away/store old bottles.
fyi - I have Playtex Dropins, so the slower rate nipples were only used a short period of time, and the bottle part is disposable so all I'm storing are the holders, rings and nipples.
If we have another baby then I'll probably replace the fast rate nipples since they have been used a lot more.
this, I ran them through the dishwasher and I put the nipples in zip lock bags and I stored the bottles with the caps in a large tote. When baby #2 came I ran them all through the dishwasher and I even used some of the old nipples. I also took back all the old Avent bottles and exchanged them for new BPA free Avent bottles. TRU took them back as an even exhange. But that was 1 year ago. So I am not sure if they are still doing that.
I washed them all, packed them with my pump and infant spoons into a rubbermaid. It's not one I want to put in the attic, so it's in our guest room closet. I tossed the nipples since they suggest replacing them after 3 months of use anyway. I kept the unopened packages of nipples though (DD never liked the fast flow, she would choke on them).
When I go to pull them out, I will sterilize them all and buy new nipples.
