You know what I mean... seeing a mom and kid in public, hearing/thinking about what your mom did... have you done something with LO that you told yourself you'd NEVER do with your LO?
I'm sure I have, but the only thing coming to mind right now is not really letting him CIO. DH is better at that than I am. I remember my friend with her DS. He was "napping" and basically just crying because he wanted to play instead. She only lasted like 10min. before she gave in, picked him up, and brought him downstairs. I try to wait 15-20, and rock him, then put him back down, but it's hard sometimes!!
Re: Have you done anything you SWORE you wouldn't?

I swore I wouldn't let my children watch tv...but sadly, my 4 yr old watches it....and the baby is fascinated by it too :-(
I also swore I could CIO with no problem....after working in an infant room, and letting some of those babies learn to self-soothe. I thought I would have no problem doing it with my own kids.....not true!!! It fills me with guilt.
i said i would BF for a year and i had to pump and my body said i was DONE!!!
another one for CIO..I thought it would be a piece of cake but it is heartbreaking to listen to.He generally falls asleep in the first 15 minutes, i cant imagine if I would have to do it for longer.....
Co-sleep (but not anymore), formula feed, baby wear, allow to watch TV...hmmm... im sure the list goes on.

Swore I'd never use a microwave to heat a bottle, but I find myself doing it more often than not now.
I said I would NEVER co sleep. My niece ended up sleeping with SIL until she was 6.
Now DD is with me and DH is in the guest room half the time
She will not sleep in a crib or the PNP in our room.
I also thought I would BF until at least 1 year. I tried, I tried!! 12 weeks
I do the same! He's been waking up at around 4:45 (as opposed to the usual 6am-ish) so if he doesn't go back to sleep after a paci replacement and a few minutes, I just bring him to bed with me. I need to sleep. :-(
