Finally got a date night!

SInce DD has been born, DH and I haven't had a single night out alone together. Mostly because DS is picky who we leave him with, my MIL usually won't watch both of them together and DH has a weird schedule.

Well, DH saw a local radio station at a bank near our house and he stopped. They gave free ice cream, and asked him if he wanted passed to an advanced screening of The Last Airbender, so he said absolutely.

My MIL actually OFFERED to watch the kids so we could go! I was so happy. And the movie was amazing!?

The only downside was we came home to a DS with a split lip from falling, and a DD who had thrown up all over her crib. But, they're both happy and sleeping now.

It was just so nice to get out. And sorry this is so long, I was just so excited.

    I know how you feel! I haven't seen a movie since my LO was born almost 5 months ago.... I got to go see Prince of Persia tonight and it was so nice to get away for a few hours and eat popcorn with my SO like the old days haha. But when I got home, my LO was in super hot pajamas and there was puke all over his crib too. I was so happy about the movie I didn't even care! Glad to hear The Last Airbender was good! That's next on my list of movies to see!

    yay for date nights! I hear ya, our son is picky on who we leave him with for bedtime.  He knows he can push our babysitters buttons, and my mom won't take both of them together yet. So DH and I haven''t had more then 1 date night in 3.5 months * sigh*. Our 3 year wedding anniversary last week was us out for pizza with DD tagging along in her bumbo..it was romantic as can be:)

    The last movie I went to was on my birthday...last year...July 6th (Away We Go)

    Our last date was 2 weeks before DS was born, on our anniversary - January 28th. I was on modified bedrest and going out to eat was the last thing I should have done. I was misserable and we ended up getting our food to go. I got sick on the way home.

    My Mom was supposed to watch DS for us the night before Father's Day, but she backed out at the last minute (thanks Mom). Hopefully we will get a date in the next few weeks...hopefully.

    It was absolutely amazing. Normally that's not the kind of movie I like, but I loved it!
