Any one had any furniture reupholstered here in jax? I found quite a few places but don't want to pay so much that it is cheaper to buy it new. Thanks!
I have not, but my SIL's brother-in-law has an upholstery business. We have a chair that I would like to get redone, but it can definitely get expensive. I feel like sometimes it would be more economical to just buy new. What are you looking to have done?

That is my same thought. I keep reading in Parenting magazines and on other Mom blogs about these chairs they have redone for around 100 which is great but I keep getting quotes around 250/300 which seems average- atleast for Jax. I just wanted a chair done. It was my grandmothers and is stil rockin the grandma fabric. It is a great piece though. At 250/300. It might just stay put until trends turn around and it turns popular again. Is your SIL's BIL around here?
i'm a little late to your post, but i also know of a local company that does reupholstering. some friends of ours used them and were very happy - i have no idea the price, but i believe they came out to her house with fabric options, picked up and delivered.

Yes, they are on St. Augustine Rd. You would turn south onto St. Aug Rd. from Emerson.

I wonder if it would be less expensive if you sourced your own fabric ...
