Advice on getting LO to nurse quicker?

LO takes 45 minutes to nurse but only 10 minutes to get full on a bottle.  This makes NIP more frustrating bc it takes so much longer, I'm more comfortable just giving him a bottle of expressed milk.  Is there any way to encourage him to finish quicker when he nurses if we are in a hurry?

    The older your LO gets the faster he will get. My DD took over an hour for the first three months, now 10 to 15 at the most. Just be patient, it will happen.

    Is the bottle nipple a newborn size? It might be too fast of a flow.

    My guess is that your baby is comfort nursing towards the end there. I would try to watch him and figure out when the "meal" is over and when the comfort sucking begins. If you notice he seems to really be done "eating" after 20 minutes on average, you can pull him off after about 20 mins when you NIP.

    Not sure how old your LO is, but DS took FOREVER to nurse (sometimes an hour or more) up until a few weeks ago. Now he's a pro and can be done in 10-15 minutes! Just wanted to let you know there's light at the end of the tunnel!
