Exercise

How much exercise do you all do in the 2ww? My DH really needs a push to exercise and it's so hard when I feel like I can't.

Re: Exercise

  • You can still exercise. Just don't go crazy and take up a marathon!

  • I've been doing my normal routine which is pretty intense. 5 miles running daily, plus an additional 75 to 90 minutes of P90X.  But I figure I do it beforehand I can do it now until a doctor tells me otherwise.

  • I've never known when my 2ww is because i don't chart so overall i've downed myself to running only a couple miles and doing simple non-strenuous exercises.

  • Before my Re told me otherwise, I did my normal routine (running average 23 miles per week, plus x-training 3 days per week, and I had my OB's blessing. But now I do basically as I am told by the RE, which is a liesurely walk (I do 1.5 or 2 miles, though, not the recommended 1). If you are concerned, I would definitely say to run your routine by your doctor to at least give you some peace of mind. Most seem to say, and I tend to agree, that you can continue what you normally do. I just wish my RE was in the same camp!

I try to do my normal routine but I can't help but bring it down a few notches just out of fear. I normally run a few miles, do elliptical for 45 min and then lift weights but in the 2ww I usually just do the running and that's it. I'm paranoid.
  • Thanks for asking this!  I just started my 2ww and was a little worried about continuing with my workouts (esp since I just started the 30 day shred).  I called my dr. about it today and she said to go ahead since I was active before now, it's not like I'm starting to exercise for the first time in my life.
