I now hate flying! (N3TR - long)

I finally got home last night!

We were trying to fly home from Charleston, SC, on Sunday morning, with anticipated arrival in Detroit in the early afternoon.

We flew from Charleston to Philadelphia with no problems. Our connection from Philly to Detroit was delayed an hour, but we were okay with that.

They then boarded us on the plane, and proceeded to taxi around, eventually stopping for nearly 3 hours on the runway, at which point they brought us back to the terminal and cancelled our flight.

They originally told us that they couldn't get us on a flight home until Tuesday (!!!), but that they could get us on a flight the next morning to Washington DC, and from there on a new airline to connect to Detroit.

We were given a hotel room and some food vouchers, but our luggage was held hostage.

We made it to DC to find out that our connection was cancelled.

They routed us to Atlanta...but our flight from DC to Atlanta was delayed an hour waiting in line to take off, so we missed our connection, but they were able to get us on the next flight, which was already boarding. We had run across the airport like those crazy people you always laugh at for being late to their flights!

BUT, we finally made it to Detroit 36 hours after we started the journey.

Our bags were there, but my suitcase has a hole in it. I'm hoping they can do something about that ... it's a really nice suitcase!

I've never been through such a nightmare. And in 3 weeks when I have to fly to Florida to meet my mom and aunt for a girls' weekend, I'm so nervous!!

Successful Cycle: 5/12/11 - 1000mg Metformin + 100mg Clomid(late response) + TI = BFP

    OMG, that is insane! It would make me nervous about flying too, but hopefully this was a one-time thing.

    That's miserable!!! I hope it goes much more smoothly next time.

    Hey there!  I got your email--no worries!  That sounds nightmarish!  Glad you are at least home safe and sound though!

    It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!

    Sorry you had to go through that.  MH has been flying a lot lately and not one of his flights has departed/arrived on time. 

    Just last week, he got in at almost 1 am Sad  I was asleep in the car in the Cell Phone Lot when he called me to come pick him up.
