Any federal employees?

I know I am not eligable for paid maternity leave through disability because it is for "private sector only".  However, am I eligable for the new Paid family Medical Leave act of NJ?

Just a note, I think its ridiculous we don't get paid maternity leave like everyone else!

    Unfortunately, no. I am in the same boat as you. it really does suck but make sure you sign up for the Donor Leave Program. That may help you out.

    Can't you only do that if you exhaust all your leave?  I am hoping I don't have to do that!

    Yes, you do have to exhaust all your leave before you can get into the donor leave program. I did end up exhausting all my leave.

     Your other option is to request advanced annual and sick leave. That is what I did and it lasted me almost 4 months. I dont want to think about how long it is going to take me to pay that back. Really sucks.

    Or you can go on leave with out pay if you can afford it.
