Pre-folds, pockets, or both for newborn?

Hi out there!  I've used Rumparooz and a few Fuzzibunz for my 19month old since he was about 15months old and love them so much, but remembering how often I went through two diapers at a diaper change with him makes me wonder if it would be smart to start out with prefolds with a newborn?  I just want to stretch my dollars (doesn't everyone?!) and make sure I don't have to run out and get prefolds and covers when #3 is born.  I need to buy more RARs anyway because my stash is running low (my son is turning into a skinny stringbean like his dad, so the large size fuzzibunz I've been using for him are getting too big) and thought I'd just put in a huge RAR order to get bulk pricing, but not if I won't need nearly as many as I'm thinking.

Help!  My pregnant brain needs some advice =)

    We loved prefolds for our son when he was a newborn and still really do. I like the GMD diapers because they are sized nicely to fit at all stages. We didn't have to fold down or anything with him. We also had 7 KL0s and 2 Thirsties Fab Fitteds.

    I used prefolds and XS Thirsties v2.0 pockets when DD was a newborn. If you're interested in the pockets, let me know They're hanging out at my house and I could make you a deal ;)
