We went crib shopping for this first time this weekend and I was prepared and armed with my Baby Bargains book. All three brands named above have high ratings (Munire - A, Baby's Dream - A, Pali - , all are 100% wood, and all are not made in China (just a personal important preference for me).
The models we are considering are:
Munire Urban
Munire Majestic
Munire Deco
Baby's Dream Legacy
Pali Emilia
Any personal experience that would help me deicde which is the best brand of these three?
Thanks gals!
Re: Munire v. Baby's Dream v. Pali
We bought the Pali Arrezzo. But we were also looking at the Munire Majestic (it was on sale at the time too). We went with the Pali over the Munire for minor things - one we liked the style of the Pali better, and the dresser for the Pali had a spring-like "pull back" feature when you go to close it which the Munire didn't. They were just neat little features that we personally liked better, but I can't think of anything that we used to discredit one over the other.
I think any of those that you are considering would be a good choice, I think now it just comes down to personal taste.
I will say though, it took FOREVER (or so it felt) for our Pali to arrive. 9 weeks after we ordered it. Apparently the order gets sent over to Italy where they are manufactured. The other brands we could have gotten sooner. So keep that in mind if you need to order something that isn't in stock.
We have the Munire Urban and Pali Imperia cribs. I think it's a matter of style preference because I think you can't go wrong with either companies. We didn't wait that long for our Pali crib to come in. They said 8 weeks, but it came in early. They are both solid wood and solid construction.
Good luck deciding!
Thanks gals! I guess part of me was just hoping you would axe at least one brand so the decision would become a bit more easy
.
I think you are both right - after researching and researching, seems now we just have to decide which we actually like best.
We just ordered the Pali Emilia crib and a coordinating dresser. We also considered the Munire Urban set. I felt like the Pali dresser was a bit more solid than the Munire, but both seem like great brands. I don't think you can go wrong between those two.
I have Baby's Dream furniture and I love it. I have the Kathryn crib for DS and have already transitioned it to the toddler bed. In another year or so, we'll transition it to the full sized bed too. The safety-gate versions make it so that you have a free guard rail, which is nice, but the stationary crib toddler rails aren't expensive either. Same goes with the adult rails. (oh, and if you intend on converting any of the cribs, buy the toddler rail and adult rails at the same time. Otherwise, you might have a hard time finding them once you're ready to convert it. My SIL didn't order her guard rail (from a different company) and they were out of stock when her daughter started climbing out of the crib... and falling.)
Almost 3 yrs later and the furniture still looks great. If you're going to buy any matching pieces, they're good too. I have a dresser and DS climbed up the drawers one day and was standing in the top one calling my name.
I was so shocked the drawer didn't collapse and he didn't fall. The furniture is STURDY!
