I read the book, somebody was kind enough to send me a copy. In the book, she says that if there should be a break of about a month if the child has had any previous PTing (or a break between methods essentially). So here's my question: we've been sorta PTing DD, she's been wearing panties for a couple of hours a day for some time now (still in diaper most of the day though and at night). I want to give the 3 day PTing method a try in a month or two, but I'm not sure if I should just forget about the panties and all that she knows for a month prior and just switch to panties full-time or keep having her in panties as we do now - a couple of hours in the morning and then just go full-day when we're ready (I hope that makes sense, lol). TIA for your help.
Re: A month break with 3 day PTing
We'd been trying for about a month before the 3 day thing. Our methods weren't drastically different, but not the same. I did a lot of naked time, and I was making him try. But he had more good times than bad before the 3 day thing, so I wasn't willing to go backwards.
The only problem we had with 3 day is that he still doesn't get poop. He understands, but is too stubborn. I don't think this is related to our previous attempts, but I could be wrong. We're just going to be patient on this one....I can really handle a poop or two a day.
We do still get occasional damp spots, but never more than a silver dollar in size (usually only dime sized actually) and the author says this isn't a true accident. We only usually experience this 0-3 times a day, more often 1 or 2.
