My poor baby has been diagnosed with Rotavirus....IT SUCKS!!!! I am just wondering if any other moms LO's have had it and how long it lasted for them. I know each case is different.

So much for the vaccine working
TIA
No advice here, but my Hadley is sending hugs to your Hadley!! Hope she feels better soon!!
LO hasn't had it, but I had a few years ago and it lasted a week. (The vaccine doesn't work until all the doses are given, but maybe the vaccines will make it less severe or shorter.)
My middle son had it when he was 14 months old. He was in the hospital for a week with it. He got so dehydrated that he almost died. Don't wanna scare you but like you said, every case is different.
Something the Dr probably did not tell you. The virus is still in the poop for up to a couple weeks after all symptoms have gone away which means you and others who change the diapers can still get sick. Really make sure that you and whoever changes diapers to thoroughly wash their hands and sanitize the changing area frequently.
You do though want your LO to poop though, that's how the body expels the virus.
Poor baby - yep, the baby needs multiple rounds of the vaccine before s/he can develop immunity. I would be annoyed at whomever GAVE your LO rotovirus; presumably that baby was not immunized.

I am livid. I know who it was...we were a birthday party over the weekend....Note to self....never going to that house AGAIN!

I understand where you're coming from, but just because you get vaccinated, does not mean you absolutely will not get it.
