I was given Percet(sp?) and 800mg motrin. I only took 2 percacet when I got home and maybe 3 or 4 motrin. I haven't needed it since day 3 at home. Is this normal or is my doctor just really good?
I never took the percocet and only took motrin at the hospital after they stopped with the iv drugs. Everyone's pain threshhold and recovery is different, be happy that you are recovering nicely.
Yep, I never took the percocet, and I only took regular Aleve a few times when I got home. I really expected to be in more pain, but I just wasn't. I guess we're the lucky ones

My dr. had me on motrin & vicodin. I stopped taking the vicodin after being home a few days because it made me constipated I still take motrin at night so I'm not horribly sore in the morning.
I took vicodin and motrin around the clock for 2 weeks. I actually had to get a refill on the vicodin. I developed an infection in my uterus and had to be readmitted for a few nights for IV antibiotics. The pain I had from the infection was a million times worse then labor.
I didnt take any pain meds...I have a HIGH tolerance for pain (which to some extend isin't good)...i just delt with it, it wasnt that bad...it only hurt when I coughed.
I'm still taking ibprofin about once a day or every other day just because I get sore especially on days I don't have any help with my older child too. Took the RX meds (roxycodone) for about 10 days. With my first, it was a rough recovery. I think I got a refil on my RX meds at the 2 week appointment and took them for another week or two. This recovery has been easier although I have been careful to not over do it.
i only took percocet for a couple of days b/c the pain from the constipation was WAY worse than the c/s. Now i take motrin maybe twice a day, but i'm finding i don't really need it anymore.
