Our local DSW had a size that works for me, which is a little too big for me, but they'll work if I punch another hole in the strap. I told the bride, and she was worried that they might look "too big."
Meh.
I have the shoes you want me to wear.
Be happy.
If there is a little gap, no one but you is going to notice, and as soon as the wedding is over ... I'm putting on flip flops.
Re: FU to my "I'm a terrible bridesmaid" post.
I missed the original post, but it makes me glad everyone I know is married... although I loathe the day my younger brothers get married and I must deal with a future sister-in-law's bride and wedding wants. ::crosses fingers for chill future SILs::
Good luck with the remainder of this wedding fiasco!

While I will extend kudos to her for saying "choose your own dresses," I still don't understand why her head is up her butt about shoes. Nobody is going to see them, or notice that they're identical or whether yours look too big, or care.
You are a kinder person than I for not telling her where to put the heel.

Well....speaking as a wedding planner...
you are BAD, BAD, BAD and were probably *this close* to being fired from being a bridesmaid!!
hehehe!
Seriously - I hate when brides are so demanding of their bridesmaids. That totally sucks for you, but I'm glad you found a pair that might work for you! And gee....couldn't you find a pair that fits like a glove??!! Because, well, you know - EVERYONE is going to notice?! ;0

When I got married I picked out a company where I chose the fabric and length but they could choose any silhouette, even two piece, the company sold petites and maternity and tall. Then they could do whatever for shoes, jewelry and hair. My bridesmaids formed a revolt and chose a different dress that cost more (and then needed so many alterations for my petite, tall and pregnant friends - each was at least one of those categories) and chose matching shoes that stressed one out and had to find it in a store in New Jersey. I didn't understand.
I was in a wedding last year where the bride let me pick my dress - even color. But then once I chose it she started freaking about jewelry and shoes so I would look "Dressy enough." The dress was floor length and a silk jersey, how could that look casual? I wore an old pair of black slingback kitten heels and it did wig her out for fear someone would see them and they weren't silk or high or new, but by the big day she didn't care and got over herself and we lived happily ever after together. I hope the same happens for you!
Ditto. I fail to see how a bridesmaid's ill-fitting shoes could possibly take away from her big day. I rarely even notice what the bride's shoes look like, much less her attendants.
