How do you handle this? Cora has started to do this and last night I ended her dinner. She was pretty much done anyways. Maybe that's why she was throwing the food. I want her to learn this is a no-no because it seems like fun to her!
I'm not sure I can be any help because my kitchen floor loksLola like a buffet when Karsyn gets done eating! The only thing I do is when she starts throwing food I get her out of her high chair and tell her "If your going to throw food then your done." I don't if it's working or not but I try to expain it. AHH...yet another joy of a toddler!

We teach Mari baby signs. So far she knows milk and more (can you say fat kid ). We are currently working on the sign for all done. When she throws food we say "Okay, all done (and do the sign)." Then, we take her out of her chair. If she really fusses and she seems like she is still hungry we put her back in. It sounds a little crazy, but my sister did this with her boys and they learned really quickly that throwing food was not acceptable. Also, when she raises her arm to throw things I usually try to grab it away from her and say, "no".
