Don't know where you're located, but go to La Lobe in Dallas (Preston Center... Northwest Hwy and Preston). They did my ears (almost 20 years ago!!!) and everyone I've referred there has been pleased.
Also, as an FYI, it's probably best that your pedi doesn't offer the service. When I went with a friend to La Lobe a few years ago, they were fixing the piercing of a baby girl and told us that most of the repairs they do are botched jobs from pediatricians!
another rec for La Lobe - we had DD's ears pierced there when she was 4 months old - she's 2 yrs old now and we've had no problems - we had a great experience!!
