So.. I'm throwing this out there. While Dh and I are bias of course regarding our son we've have a number of people suggest to us that we should maybe get him into modeling. No, this has not been by relatives but complete strangers actually. Anyway, I know some of you are in the performance field or a related field that may know some or at least one reputable person or agency to at least talk to or see if DS has "the look". What I've found online in my search are either crap agencies; where you pay them to make you a model, or they represent toddlers+ not babies+. I know he will need at least a small sampling of professional photos taken. I already have the photographer in mind. I would want to find out exactly what the agent would want/need to see. I do have some really good pictures of DS, though probably not the quality they'd want to see.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Re: talent/model agent/agency
What I've read is that you don't need professional photos for a young child because they change so quickly. A reputable agency will tell you it's a waste of money. Some agencies will allow you to send in a picture of your child that they will keep on file and look at if the need for a child your age comes up. You have to keep sending pictures in to update them, since in a month or two your child's look will change.
If I remember correctly, most agencies don't represent young children/babies, because the work just isn't abundant and it's not worth their time.
Don't ever pay for someone to "make you a model".
I know not to pay to make yourself and anyone a model or actor or the like. That's a bunch of hooey! What I was really interested in was the print work for various ads you see for stores, even commercials.
I wasn't sure if there were any agencies in Houston or are most in CA,PA (Philly), and NY?
There are reputable agencies in Houston, but I don't think any of them represent young children. I'm not 100% certain, you'd just have to google agencies in Houston and call them.
I looked it up last year because I was curious for ds but I never went further than a google search.
