Has anyone one this before?? We are supposed to be going to Myrtle Beach with my parents who have a 5th wheel. My DH and I have our own bedroom, and my parents have their own. I am thinking about making the table into a bed and putting my DD there with a bed rail. I am not sure how it's going to work.
Re: RV Camping with a 1 Year Old
I agree that a pack n play is how I would like to do it, but I don't know where you'd set it up in an RV. We couldn't fit it in ours (which is small). My plan was to sleep with him in the dinette bed, with him next to the wall. I would have been horribly uncomfortable, but I think it's the only thing that would give me peace of mind and keep him out of the way.
We have a 5th wheel and DS sleeps in a PNP in the main living area (we don't have a bunk room). It works best for us because I know he is safe in the PNP but it is tough when he goes to bed around 7:30-8 and he's in the main living area. (His PNP won't fit in our room.)
Maybe you could fit the PNP in the bunk room (our friends have a bunk room that the PNP fits perfectly in) and you sleep on the table/ bed. If you are concerned about using the bed rail for LO.
We rented an RV last year for vacation - we put the PNP in the main bedroom. It blocked the entrance to the toilet - which was a little inconvenient - and seting it up each night and taking it down each day was a PITA - but I was happy to know she was in the PNP. For naps, I just set the PNP up next to the dinette - everyone else was outside anyway.
If I could not fit the PNP into the trailer - I would sleep in bed with DD and DH would probably get banned to the bunk bed. I know most people would think I'm crazy to do that, but I BF and it is easier if DD is right next to me - not in another room. And if the bed was queen size DH and I would co-sleep.
