A food ALLERGY happens immediately. A food INTOLERANCE can take a little while and is not an allergy. Try the food every couple weeks or months depending on the severity of the rash/reaction. Most of the intolerance issue will be outgrown by ages 3-5. There have been articles on how DRs say things are ALLERGIES when they are really just intolerances due to liability issues. A true allergy isn't something to mess with, but a little reaction is NOT an allergy. It's good to know for LOs future.
Allergic to dairy. Severe eczema and severe vomiting. Pretty sure there is a green bean allergy. Here is a picture after eating them.
ETA: Food allergies don't always happen immediately. They can take a few hours to develop. This was her reaction after 4 days of green beans. She wouldn't eat them the first three days (kept spitting them out) and swallowed some on day 4.

Agreed that allergies do not necessarily show up right away- most will appear, however, w/in 24 hours. DD usually just gets a mild rash or patches of eczema that flair up. She is still mildly intolderant to dairy, but is outgrowing it. I'm able to eat it and BF her and she's fine, but we tried giving her some cheese and she had a pretty significant reaction, so we're going to hold off on giving her dairy directly for awhile longer.
I am pretty sure he's allergic to rice cereal. Rash on face around the mouth after day 2.
Some cereals have soy in them. I would check the label because drs claim rice is and an "uncommon" allergen.
DD tested allergic to nuts and eggs. She is intolerant to dairy and soy. She reacts terribly if I eat corn - probably intolerant, and has a bit of wheat sensitivity. She gets hives if she eats avocado, prunes and apricots.
