  my Riley did it for about two weeks. Everytime she would do it I would tap her lips with my finget and she would stop. Now that she just got two more top teeth she is doing it again. That sound makes me crazy

  Isn't it like nails on a chalkboard?!  Will just started doing it a few days ago and it makes me want to tear my hair out.  I have no idea how to get him to stop.

  It only lasted a couple weeks with DS. Don't worry it'll be over soon.

  My DD did it constantly when she got her top four teeth (which was about a month ago).  It lasted a couple of weeks but she has since stopped.  Thank god.  It's the worst sound ever.

  It's seriously one of the worst sounds I've ever heard! DD was doing it all the time when she first got her top teeth in, she still does it occasionally, but nowhere near what she did at first. It's a phase & it will pass. GL in the meantime!

  I can't even figure out how she makes that ungodly sound with teeth.  And she doesn't move her mouth when she does it, so it's just this ear piercing sound that comes out of her while she's staring at the sky or something.
