Interviewing a Pediatrician

I am meeting with a pediatrician today and I was wondering what you gals asked.  I want to make sure the office is clean and has an area for sick and healthy kids.  I want to know basics like hours, who sees lo, what happens if she gets sick, what happens after hours if she get sick or injured, can the DR go attend to lo if she goes to Hasbro.  Am I missing anything?  Thanks in advance!

Re: Interviewing a Pediatrician

  • I think that sounds like all the important questions.  But do you mind if I ask if someone recommended the dr.  I think that is the best way is to hear from other Moms how they feel about the dr.  And not only your dr but the whole practice in case your dr is not available.  It is also important that the office staff is polite and nice.  If you are looking still.  I have 2 girls already and another on the way and we use pediatric associates in e. prov.  We live in warwick and I don't mind the drive at all.  We have been very happy with our dr. (Fox) and all the others there.  The office staff and nurses are all great.  Good luck!
