Babies: 6 - 9 Months

sorry in advance

I have truly had a day from hell (nothing to do with DD) that I won't get into since it isn't necessarily relevant to my question. But it will explain why this post may be a bit scatter-brained. Anyway, my somewhat decent napper (always ok with napping in her crib for about an hour each nap) now won't nap in her crib, only on me with her head on my shoulder. I'm wondering what has changed. We did take her to the doctor for a strange noise she was making (mostly when excited) and they think it is her reflux back for attack. Well, actually it may have never been gone. She was on Prevacid but went off of it about a month ago. And then this noise began. So I am wondering if it is AR that is causing her not to want to lay in her crib since she is elevated when on me. Sorry this is so long & jumbled and no telling what it looks like since I am posting this from my phone. Thank you for any ideas, support, etc you may have. I guess I'm a little worried about bad habits but wondering if this is just a phase or the AR.

Re: sorry in advance

  • I don't know if it has to do with AR; it sounds like that could be it or a growth spurt.  Keira was a little maniac last week...the whole week...going to bed between 10:30-midnight and getting up at 2 and 6!  It was a rough week.

  • When did this start? Because I'd question ear infection if she won't sleep in her crib. That was one of the biggest signs with Evelyn - any time we put her in her crib, no matter on her tummy (she was/is a tummy sleeper) or on her back, she'd scream bloody murder. We'd get her asleep on our shoulder, try to put her in the crib, and she'd instantly wake up and scream.
