My poor girl can't seem to get the hang of naps at daycare

At home she naps aboput 1 hour and 15 minutes in the morning and about 2 hours in the afternoon-wakes up from her afternoon nap around 2:30. I just called-she took a half hour nap from 8:30-9 and an hour nap from 11:30-12:30. She is going to be a mess if she doens't get a third nap in while she is there (she is fighting the third nap at home but I really hope she takes one today). At home her room is darker than at daycare (her room at daycare is pretty bright) and we are definitely more quiet than it is at daycare. She only started last Monday but I was hoping she'd get into the swing of things by now.

She might be dropping the 3rd nap...

My DD dropped the 3rd one around 6 months...

Or just that there is a lot more going on at daycare than home....

a) she's stinkin' cute!!

b) i'm sorry to say this (hopefully we're just the exception) but S has been in DC now for 4 months (next week) and still only naps a *total* of 2.5 hours when there. there's just too much going on and she has to be all up in it all the time.

My DD's not a big napper to begin with..... but at daycare it is just about as bad as you can imagine!

She's been in daycare since she was 8 weeks old, and I honestly thought it would get better... but it hasn't. One day last week she only took one 15 min nap in the morning, and one 20 min nap in the afternoon. Luckily she fell asleep on the way home from daycare and got about another 30 mins. But that was one cranky little girl.

But, DD has also been sleeping through the night (with a few exceptions) since she was about 8 weeks old. So I'm really not complaining.

Zack has been in daycare for six months and still naps poorly there. Seriously, days he gets two hours are cause for rejoicing.

I'm a teacher and so I'm currently home with Tegan for the summer, but she was in daycare for 3.5 months before the summer break. She never did get the hang of napping at daycare. The room was always brightly lit, the babies didn't all nap at the same time and there was just too much activity for her to really get to sleep. The longest naps she managed at daycare were normally in the swing.

I'm hoping when she starts back to daycare in the fall, that it'll be better. She will be starting in the older infant room and they have two scheduled naps in that room, where all the babies sleep at the same time. Since they will turn down the lights, turn on soothing music and attempt to get all the babies to sleep, I am hoping that she naps better.
