During pregnancy I want to be healthier. I have really gotten into working out now, and never had before, so I would like to keep it up during and after another pregnancy. I also would like to eat better. I didn't gain a horrible amount of weight, but I also didn't care about eating healthy options either.
After the baby is born I think I would like to give breastfeeding a try. Honestly, I didn't even TRY with Allie! I also want to be better at keeping up with a baby book for the baby. I have one for Allie, and I take lots of pictures...but I never write in that book or update it! I feel horrible!
Allie ~ 01/26/09 ~ 7 lbs, 9 oz ~ 20.75 in.
& Amelia ~ 03/16/11 ~ 8 lbs, 1 oz ~ 21 in.
I would like to be healthier during pregnancy as well. I also want to take more pictures during my pregnancy. I too, have been bad about writing in her baby book. Some of the things, I have already forgotten. Take more family pictures after the baby is born.
During pregnancy, I will try to be more active and watch what I eat. I didn't gain too much but could have always done better. I really hope to walk more. I also want to have professional maternity pictures done especially since this will be my last pregnancy.
After baby is born, I will give a much harder shot at breastfeeding. I gave up after a week and was very uneducated. I will take a class, see an LC. Really put forth my full effort. It was important to me then but I let my emotions get the best of me. I know that now and hope to be able to push through.
ETA: Oh, the baby book! I have failed with that for Lyla and I feel very guilty.
Next time I want to stay in better shape and workout during the pregnancy. As soon as I get the all clear from the dr I'm going to start training for a 5k and hope to really get in shape finally. I don't want to blow all that hard work when I get pregnant.
I would also like to work out while pregnant. I worked out pretty regularly before I got pregnant with K... and once morning sickness kicked in during the first trimester, I stopped going to the gym all together and haven't been much since. I want that to change next time.
I'd also like to lose about 15 pounds and get back to my pre-baby weight before we even think about having more kids.
As far as what to do after... I would like to tell our family that we'll have no houseguests for the first 2 weeks. That's time we need alone as an immediate family to adjust and get used to the LO. With K, we did that, but only after we had DH's brother, SIL, niece, nephew and several of our friends come over the day we brought K home. I was still all teary and emotional from bringing her home and did not feel like playing hostess. It was exhausting.

During the next pregnancy I would like to exercise more, especially walking. I didn't gain a ton of weight this last time but I definitely want to be healthier next time around so I am not struggling after the birth. I'd also like to get some maternity photos done since I never did with Aubrey and baby #2 will be it for us.
After the birth, I will keep it to me and Wes and our parents only that first day. This past time around when I got to my room after recovery I had 14 family members waiting!! It was pretty stressful for me since I was exhausted and just wanted to hold my baby. I know baby #2 will be a scheduled c-section since I am not a candidate for a v-bac so I am hoping that I can accomplish this. Also I will take more pictures that first month of different family with the baby. I wasn't very good with remembering that until Aubrey was a bit older so most of her younger day pictures are just of her.
