Middle name for Ryan

I think we've decided on the name Ryan...classic/modern and  It's my husband's middle name. I like Ryan Cole best but my husband came out of left field with Ryan Robert.  Robert is his dad's FN.  I kind of feel like Ryan Robert is not giving the baby his own name b/c we would be using the the first, middle and last name of other family members.

But on the other hand it would make both the husband and new grandpa very happy...and in the long run the middle name is hardly used...

Re: Middle name for Ryan

  • Although I like names with variations and not usually names that begin with the same letter, I prefer that names have meaning to them rather then just picking a random name. So my vote was for Ryan Robert.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • I love Ryan Cole! My husband is Ryan Charles and we're using Ryan for a middle name for our son (Charles his my H's dad's FN too). I think Ryan Robert is too tongue twisting having 2 R's. Maybe there is another family name your husband likes so he could still tie that in?
  • I think the 2 r's could be a little much so I picked Cole.

    My nephew is Ryan Michael.

  • If I had to choose between the 2, I would pick Ryan Cole.

I really like Ryan Scott though.

  • I love the name Ryan.  Love it.

Cole is NMS, but I think it goes with Ryan just fine.

I'm not liking how Ryan Robert sounds.  But rare is the time when your LO's first and middle names are used together.  If it's meaningful to the family, I'd say go for it.
