We are starting daycare next week and need to send bottles. What is the best way to label? Just write with marker on the bottle itself or use masking tape? Thanks.
We wrote her name in Sharpie (permanent marker) on the bottle itself. And we use a piece of that blue tape you use to tape off areas when you're painting to put the date on them.
For the first 3 months, i used masking tape - we have to label first and last name and date. I hated the masking tape because it didn't want to stick. I sprung for the inchbug thingys with her name and am using dry erase marker on the caps with the date.

This is exactly what we do. Sharpie for her name, painters tape for the date. It's worked great for us so far (2 months today).
I can PM you a coupon code tonight, if you are interested. It is at home though!
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too!
It's FREE and EASY!

Yeah the painters tape doesn't fall off. And its been hot and humid here, so the bottles sweat, and it still sticks...
Sorry about the double (messed up) post. It won't let me delete it but what I was trying to say is that we have the lables from inchbug and they work great!
looooove inchbug.com! we have those for her bottles, then for the lids and various other things, i ordered from oliverslables.com. best price and tons of cuuuuute designs to pick from! i got the mini lables and use them on lots of stuff (her bag, blankets, bibs, rattle, toys, ect)
Re: best way to label bottles for daycare?
Having worked in daycare for a long time. I can tell you marker will just wash off and masking tape with fall off.
I recommend getting a label maker to label them. Or try these..

Eh, when the marker starts to wear off we just write over it again. And its ok for the tape to come off, it only needs to be there for one day.

We bought a label maker. What a waste The label falls off faster than the freezer tape.
