Trying to Get Pregnant

I cut about ten inches of hair off

I grew it out really long for the wedding and my DH has never seen me with short hair. It was always about 5 inches longer than it is now. I walked in the door and he just about jumped me he likes it so much. I would say that was a successful haircut.

Re: I cut about ten inches of hair off

  • That's great news!  I did the same thing after my wedding and I felt fortunate that my DH loooooooooves my short hair, too.  If he didn't, I would have been so upset!

  • Did you donate it to locks of love?
  • Yes Definitely sounds like a successful haircut!

  • Awesome! A good haircut feels so amazing, right? I have my hair cut really short (think Felicity-short cut) and I LOVE it and fortunate for DH he does too. It's the best.

OP, You have very pretty hair BTW.

  • That's awesome. I cut about 6" off of mine lst week and got a better response from DH than I expected.

I did the same on Saturday.  I needed a change and it's so much cooler for the summer.  Glad you like it!

  • Awesome!  I cut 15" off after my wedding and donated it.  I had the short short victoria beckham hair do!

It's since grown but it felt great donating it and DH LOVED it.. he said he felt like he was with another woman.. not sure if that's good or bad!  LOL

  • It wasn't quite long enough to donate and it wasn't in great condition because of how damaged it was at the ends. I had been growing it out with no trims for about a year. It now comes to my chin and I can't put it up at all. Which means I will have to style it everyday. Part of the reason I hated my hair is because its thick and naturally curly but it wouldn't hold the curl at all because of how heavy it was. I just ended up putting it in a ponytail everyday.

Yep, we are pretty much hair twins. Thick and curly over here. I cut mine super short once I realized that ponytail =/= good! It's just too much hair to take care of.

FWIW, I don't have to style mine that much. I use a nice hair creme (have you ever tried Moroccan Oil?), scrunch a bit, and let it air dry.

  • I've never even heard of Moroccan Oil! I will have to look into it. Thanks!
  • Yay!

I did the same thing last week. Smile My hair is the shortest it's ever been since I've known DH.
