Trouble TTC

Anyone else get Clomid headaches?

Since I started taking it 3 days ago, I've had a headache that doesn't want to leave.  Ugh.  This is my first cycle taking it.  Anyone else get headaches on Clomid, and if so, do they stick around after your done with your pills?

Re: Anyone else get Clomid headaches?

  • They were gone for me after ovulation.  Mine weren't as bad as yours just little aches.  Did you try Tylenol?

  • I also got some headaches on clomid and unfortunately they did hang around for a while for me.  I hope they go away soon for you!

  • Both cycles so far I have experienced those lingering clomid headaches.  The kind that are there off and on allll day.  Mine didn't last beyond the pills though, unlike my night sweats.

Are you drinking enough water?  That was one of the things that my nurse suggested I do to help.

It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!

  • Ugh, I unfortunately had AWFUL headaches on 50mg. Seriously, some of the worse I've ever had in my life. They stayed around for quite a while after I stopped the pills, but aren't here now on CD 23.

Yes, unfortunately I have had headaches pretty much for 6 months straight.  But yes the above bolded section is a great recommendation.

Clomid is supposed to make you dehydrated, so the headaches will come, so yes drink plenty of water.  It helped me a little bit.

Good to know. I didn't realize that and wondered why I was SO ridiculously thirsty as well.

  • Yup, I did too. But thankfully they didn't hang around after I was done with the dose. GL!
  • Yes, I did, for most of the cycle.  I couldn't really cut them with medication.  The only thing that helped me was acupuncture.  I hope they pass for you soon!

  • Headaches were the biggest s/e of Clomid for me.  They usually went away when I was finished taking the pills so hopefully your will too.
