so i bought a maternity support belt today (though i may only be using it for a couple of days because my due date is like 9 days away), and i felt so relieved of the skin pressure that i feel. do you think wearing this early on pregnancy will help prevent or at least minimize stretchmarks (since it supports the belly.skin area). TIA
Lurking from 2nd tri board. I have to agree with pp. That would be a big fat NO! I have been wearing a maternity belt since the end of my first trimester due to back issues, and the stretch marks still showed up. I tried cocoa butter, pregnancy tummy butter, shea oil, and nothing stopped them. My doctor said, either you are prone to get stretch marks, and you do. Or you are not, and you don't. I guess I fell in the first catagory. hahahah
