Does your LO scoot across the floor on their back?

Elle cannot crawl but she can scoot on her back all around our living room, from one end to the other.  She goes 10-15 feet a time then rests and goes again.  She will not stay on her tummy for tummy time and I am worried she will scoot like this instead of crawl.

Anyone else's LO do this?

    Don't fret, lots of babies do this.  It isn't as common as scooting backward while on the tummy but it is still common.

    Buggie does it a lil bit.  She was doing it today at my parents' like crazy.  It was super hot & sticky, so she had only her diaper on.  She scooted so much, she ended up w/ a lil carpet burn on her back! I couldn't believe it.  And good Lord, when she wants to scoot....watch out!!! She'll pitch a fit if you try to get her to do something else.

    DS just started doing it last week...he has to learn to flip over and scoot if he is ever going to crawl...he can roll like a champ but scoots only on his back....

    LOL, I am glad my sweet girl isn't the only one doing this!  The pedi did say it was pretty common; which surprised me.

    My DD did this for about 2 months and started crawling just almost a month ago.
