Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Would you take LO to drive in movie at this age?

DH and I are thinking about it.  We would not be bringing our toddler, just DS who is 6 weeks old.  He would be sleeping in his carseat the whole time and if he needed I would BF in the car.  Do you think people would look at us funny?  (not that we would leave the car with him anyway.)

We haven't been to the drive ins in a couple years but I seem to remember people bringing little ones.  We wouldn't bring DD since it would mess with bedtime and she couldn't handle being up that late but at DS' age, it wouldn't affect his sleep etc.

  • Sure! You got everything you need right in the car! I wish we still had a drive in here.

  • Sounds like a great idea to me! I don't think anyone who would look at you funny. And if they do, just look at them funny back Wink

  • Definitely do it.  I don't think people will care, if so, who cares anyways.

It would be a much easier way to see a movie than the theatre with a baby.

  • We plan on going this summer!

  • We just went last weekend to see Toy Story 3 and Prince of Persia DS slept and only woke up to have a bottle and thought the screen was fun to look at for a min. before falling asleep. The only thing is we didn't turn on our radio to listen so it wasn't loud for him. The trucks on either side of us had the radios on very loud so we could still hear.
  • We just went friday night.  It was really nice because it sort of felt like a date for dh & I but we still had little man with us.  I nursed him & changed him twice and he slept the whole time.  I doubt anyone even knew that we had a baby with us.....we were in our car and it's dark.
  • We were thinking about going tonight if it doesn't start to rain. DH won't see the Twilight movie with me unless I see the A-Team movie with him!
  • Wow, I think that's a great idea! How fun - I think we should check that out as a possible evening outing. DS cluster feeds at night so it makes most evenings out an impossibility but perhaps a drive-in....
