any of you still worried it might be a boy?
I know I am, only because we have soooo many dresses and girl clothes right now.
We were told the techs have never been wrong and wouldn't have said it was a girl if they had any doubt, but I'm still worried.
Granted, I just want the baby to be here and be healthy; I don't care if it's a boy or girl really. I just have all those cute clothes in her closet! If it's a boy, he'll spend his first few months in dresses.
Re: If you are having a girl
Haha...I am in the same boat as you! Except the tech told us she couldn't be 100% sure, but she saw the lines that indicated labia. We are going back for another ultrasound just to be sure before ordering our PINK crib set!
You can always get a 3d ultrasound just to make sure!!
I was just looking through my friend's u/s pictures and there was the between the legs shot with three lines that they told us meant GIRL - but then they did a lot more pictures with her and they are actually having a BOY. I am excited that they told me girl, my hubby is hoping and praying that it's a boy... but I don't want to get my hopes up after I saw that. I know what you are feeling...

Year 4 - still unexplained & 3 failed IUIs with Follistim & Ovidral
Year 5 - trying on our own
i have seen DS's twig and berries on two ultrasounds, and i'm still worried he'll be a girl! i did the same thing with Izzie. went so far as to bring two going home outfits...one girly and one neutral!
Yes. Event though they were "sure" they never got (in my opinion) a completely clear money shot. My best friend, who just had a girl, told me that our U/S pictures look the same (and they do) but...still....
Even though all the clothes are certainly for a girl, I erred on the side of caution with the nursery and it's pretty gender neutral except for some of the artwork.

This is what my OB said about my tech... She's been there over 20 years and has never been wrong.
I'm still worried.
Worried, no. In the back of my mind, oh yes. Before our 20 week u/s, my mom just gave me a little warning about a couple she knows who were told they were having a girl but it was really a boy. They had gone all out - I mean, never even considered it would be a boy (and why would they?), clothing, pink crib, pink room, pink car seat, never even discussed boy names, etc. When they had baby and it was a boy, they were happy of course for a healthy baby, but really grieved the "loss" of the little girl they thought they were having. She said it affected them deeply, and in many ways.
So, we're just being cautious in our minds, at least. We've discussed our name choices for a boy, discussed our thoughts on circumcision, etc. I'm thankful for my mom's dose of reality - I can't imagine having that surprise in the delivery room, and then on top of it having to make a snap decision on such matters as our child's name and whether or not to circumcise. yikes...
This. I even packed two outfits for the hospital, one pink and one green, just in case. I refuse to take the tags off of the really frilly dresses until she is actually here.
this is me as well. DS called it right away and would actually get angry if people said "What if you have a brother?" He said he refused to have a brother and would only have a little sister. He was right :-)
Not to mention we have had it confirmed at least 4 times. (including a u/s just last week.. ALL girl).
DH's family on the other hand......
I actually always bring a gender neutral sleeper just in case. My mom spent the whole time I was pushing with DD#1 saying "wouldn't it be funny if it was a boy". yeah she's not going to be in the room this time lol.
