Re: Girl names WDYT

  • I like Juliet, but I do not think it flows well with any of your MN suggestions. Second favorite would be Margaret.

  • Laurel is my favorite, followed by Juliet.  Catherine and June are my favorite middle names.  Juliet Catherine, Laurel Catherine?  I love June, but not with any of your first names....MAYBE Laurel June?
  • I like Laurel Catherine.    Your other names are very nice too.

  • How about Laurel Jane, instead of June??

All of my middle names have a special significance. June is because of my June wedding, I was 11 weeks pregnant so he/she was with us as we shared our vows  :)

How many people are not concerned about the "flow" of a middle name with a first name? I spent some time thinking about it, and came to the conclusion that nobody I know ever introduces themselves by their first AND middle names. Most times a middle name is a somewhat private thing.

     My other thoughts:

Stella: Too trendy? Its kind of a celebrity name, like Violet. (I cringe when I see people immitating movie stars on these forums)

    Evelyn: Too weak?

Micah: More of a boys name?

Beatrice: Tongue-twister? Plus my last name starts with an 'Sh'.

Charlotte: Again the 'Sh' thing, but Charlotte's Web was my first "chapter book" when I was a girl and I ADORED it.

I think my name choices veer on the conservative side. Can anyone offer any more suggestions along that theme?

  • Naomi is my fave.  I wanted that one, but my husband is not a fan.
  • I think Juliet and Laurel are very pretty, feminine names.

I do think that your names are a little more traditional.  But that is good...it just means they've stood the test of time Big Smile

I also like the name Charlotte, but mostly because I love the nn Charlie for a girl.

  • I like Margaret and Laurel. I prefer Julia or Julie over Juliet--way too "romantic" for my taste. Naomi just makes me think of the super model. Love Catherine, Lillian, and June as middle names!
