I'm being desensitized on Monday.

OCD Moms, I'm ALREADY freaking out. I have this crazy fear that I am going to cut Drew's head off by lifting him up into a ceiling fan. (We have one in every room) It is getting to the point that it is crazy so my therapist said it is time to try this. I am already having panic attacks thinking about it. 

She said we would sit on the floor under the fan first, then we would stand and then I would pick him up off the floor, all under the fan.

(I can't go into a room with it on)

    Good luck! Exposure response therapy is the best way to treat OCD. If you start to find yourself obsessing about something else, the best way to deal with it is head-on. I know that's over the top scary, but I promise you can do this!

    Good Luck!  I have OCD, but it's with my thoughts.  I obsess over things that I think about constantly and can't stop!  It's terrible.  Good luck with your desensitizing!  You can do it!
