Im almost 3 weeks pp and I literally have not had a break from my lovely 2 yo daughter and my easy to handle son. Im getting the itch to do something not kid friendly but feel bad thinking about it like im still pregnant. But obviously I'm NOT. When did you deside to give yourself some alone time?
Re: Who has had alone time yet?
I so know we all deserve a night out I just find it hard. Literally the most excitment that I've gotten lately without any kids was when I had an appointment for my eyes for glasses (awesome I know). I would love just one night out without the kids to re-discover my less responsible side. haha.
ugh, I can see how that can be so hard especially without any girlfriends to hang with. I hope you figure out a plan soon enough cause personally I would be going ape *** on my hubby from boredom.
LOL Yeah I pretty much am going ape *** at this point. Esp since my dad is terminal across the country so I'm trying to help mom emotionally from here....it is crazy. I have friends coming to visit and meet LO in a few weeks and we're going out one night without hubby or baby! I can't wait!
dh and i went to lunch and saw a movie (yeah, toy story 3, we're that awesome to go to a kids movie on our date afternoon) yesterday. i cried when i left her at my moms
other than that, it's just been a few random running to the store while dh is with her.
I EBF but I sitll got alone time around 2 weeks. I planned it around her eating (left right after I fed her) and that gave me 2 hours. Plus, I pumped once a day to build a stash so I had frozen BM in case DH needed it.
DH and I had our first date night at 3 weeks. We just went out to dinner so we weren't gone long. My mom watched her.
My alone time is my gym time!!! For an hour a day I drop Colin at Grandma and Grandpas.... It has really helped me stay sane...
Just an FYI, cereal doesn't replace BM. She'll still BF the same.
Plus, (just in case you weren't aware) if you BF you aren't supposed to introcduce solids until 6 months (unless there are reflux issues).
DH needs to man up!
