itchy skin - recommendations?

My skin itches right around my belly button, but since it's stretching, it also kind of hurts (esp if I scratch it). Can anyone recommend a good cream or lotion for this?

Re: itchy skin - recommendations?

  • I've just been using my regular scent free lotion. Curel ultra healing. I'm not sure if being scent free is a help...it just happens to be what we use. It takes the itch down a notch.

  • I'm experiencing the same thing. I use California Baby's Calendula Lotion (not the cream). You can find it at Target. It's a little pricey ($9), but the itch was pretty annoying. It has a slight cooling effect which is nice.

  • Burt's Bees Mama Bee Oil. This stuff is crazy hydrating and if I don't slather it on every morning my stomach drives me nuts all day. It's a little pricey for such a small bottle but a little bit goes along way.

I've been using Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Balm (it's the one in the tin). Love it!

  • There's this cocoa butter stick at The Body Shop that I use, along with Palmer's cocoa butter (it's heavier and sticky feeling so I only use that one at night) And like about 3 other Beauticontrol lotions I like... I mix it up a lot..
  • Eucerin helps a little as well. It's made to help calm itchy skin.

  • Palmers cocoa butter in the jar not the lotion bottle.  It's fantastic!
