ok, I've been back since 1 p.m., but now I am awake for more than five minutes.
the short story for those interested: the results were good. Much to my surprise I do not have an alien colony taking over my ute, and my parts seemed to be all there. (and I have a picture to prove it - and no, I will spare you and won't PIP).
All of this is according to DH who the RE spoke to - I see RE on Thursday for follow and will get full story - so how much my DH retained - I have no idea . . .but here's what he heard: apparently a very small amount of endometriosis on tube, some removed, some not for bleeding purposes - but not a problem and not extreme or interfering with anything, one adhesion removed, and one tube was partially blocked that they opened up - guess on this is scar tissue but not enough to have blocked flow during HSGs, etc.
Initial recommendations from doc: bcp til I see him on Thursday, then wait for AF, try on our own w/out meds (really??) for two cycles - he seems hopeful about this for some reason, and then revisit IUI. obviously I'll talk to him more on Thursday.
the long story re: procedure if anyone really wants to know or keep reading because you are so bored on a Friday night: all in all I was in hospital for about 7 1/2 hours. Procedure from time of going in to OR to recovery was about 1 1/2 hours. everyone was amazingly nice, and there was a resident that was there that when he becomes a doc if he becomes OB, I would find him - he was amazing. I've never seen such a great bed side manner. the anesthesiologist did a really good jobbut my two complaints: she was tall blonde and looked like a super model (which is totally fine and yay for her! but not when I'm sitting there with my hoohaa sticking out and drooling) and when she asked what I was getting done and why her summation was, "ok, a healthy female who can't get pregnant and wants to" and walked away. CLEARLY she's not had issues, tried to, or needs a lesson from abovementioned resident who practically held my hand while asking about my m/c history.
2 incisions are now starting to hurt, and I have bruising on my stomach in a few places - and bloat is tremendous from the gas they use. thank you for the drugs doc - that is helping! (and to previous poster re: "goody bag" - while Lortab rocks, my other consolation prizes were compression stockings and bandages for my wounds. SCORE!) Although I asked if they could lipo out some of my belly fat while in that region, apprarently they didn't.
only side effects I've noticed are bathroom issues (TMI) - but I think it's just from everything down there been out of whack and numb, and the tireds. and the gas they use has made my ears pop like crazy all day.
so there you go. thanks for all of your love ladies, you have no idea what it means.

Wow, I have to say I'm surprised to hear the recommendation to have two natural cycles. I sure hope this is the trick for next time around.
I knew nothing about this procedure before - I hope you're feeling back to your good self soon. It's good to see you.
I'm glad everything looked and when okay.
Take it easy and pamper yourself lots this weekend.

Glad you're home and that all looked well. That would have sucked to have the "I'm sorry, I don't know how to tell you this and I've honestly never seen this before in my career, but it appears that an alien colony has taken over your Ute. There is nothing medical science can do for you," sit-down with the doc. I'm hoping the 2 natural cycles recommendation comes from optimism that the roto-rootering/clean up will up your chances all on your own.
Take good care of yourself.

I don't know - really not sure. want to really understand his theory on this. one thing I read is that following surgery just want to make sure everything is working okay (ie: don't hyperstim with meds right away) and you are more "open" so may be a good thing. . .we'll see.
how are you?
