Hello, I have always lurked on this board because I have always wanted it to be something that we might consider - looks like it is more than just a consideration now. I have even posted a little here and there.
We have been TTC for 2 years and in the last 6 months I have suffered 3 m/c. I had been seeing an RE to get pregnant, and at this point my last chance will be IVF with PGD. It is a lot to take in.
My husband and I decided that we would look into adoption. While we might still seek medical intervention, we will, at that point, do both.
We will be adopting through the state or doing fost/adopt. It turns out the my neighbor works for our state's children services. I talked to her last night and she was able to give me LOTS of info. She will be bring home with her tons of paperwork, apps, info, etc.
Now, we are not sure when we will submit our app, but it looks like it WILL happen.
So, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am sure you will be getting lots of questions from me
Re: Introducing myself...
Hi, and welcome.
I'm sorry about your losses and to hear you've been having such a tough time.
This board is definitely a community you should feel comfortable in. We're all going through the adoption journey together, and we're always glad to have new friends.
Hi!
I mostly lurk here too, but these ladies are amazing sources of advice and perspective. You'll get a lot out of it!
Welcome! I don't think this particular board existed when we adopted in 2003 and wish it had. Good luck on the start of your journey - whichever way it may lead you!

Howdy and welcome!
You're in for a ride, but it's oh so worth it!
I'm sorry about the rough couple of years for you, but I can tell you 100 % that adoption is a great way to build or add to a family.
Good Luck and ask any questions you want.
Welcome, and I remember you from PL. I am sorry for all the losses, but I am excited for you that you are considering building your family through adoption. I also wish you well with your TTC--it is a lot to take in. Thinking about both bio and adopting at the same time can be tough--esp. with the losses in there (I had 5 myself).
Take your time, and welcome again! This is a good board to ask questions about adopting in all its different "forms", because it seems most people here have a wide range of experience. Much love, Jill
