%(*# Throwing a bridal shower and pg don't mix

I'm hosting a shower this Sunday and am about to lose it.  It's being held at a restaurant so the final count had to be in two weeks ago.  Of course, 1/2 the guests never RSVP'ed so I had to call them.  The majority never responded to the invite or voicemail I left them, so I figure they weren't coming.

Fast forward to this week, people are Facebook messaging me to say they'd still like to come.  I just got a call from the bride saying a handful of people are claiming they didn't get invites and want to come.  Funny thing is, they were on the list and  I called to follow up with them, but never got a response.  Oh, and let's not forget about the person who still doesn't know, because she might be camping this weekend.  Why are people so flipping rude!

    Yup. I wonder if people have a fear of commitment. Good luck! You are a great friend for doing this.

    If the restaurant can't hold as many people, tell all of the stragglers tough luck!

    I have to say, I have no idea what is wrong with people when it comes to RSVP's!!!  There were TONS of people that didn't RSVP to my baby shower and the people that threw my shower had to hunt them down.  I don't get it!

    I agree, people just who don't RSVP are just rude, I had several not RSVP at all to my wedding, I was pissed! Some of those came even! The nerve! I've had several people not RSVP to my shower as well, my mom has been hunting them down.  I can see if it's a family BBQ or an open house, but when it says RSVP, there's a reason, right!!

    I had my sister's baby shower at 34 weeks and went through the same thing, 1/2 of the people never responded! So annoying and rude! Why should we have to track people down? I always respond to an invitation, it's a common courtesy that people just don't seem to do anymore.
